An experienced trial lawyer, Stephanie Cassman, has a deep love for the courtroom. As a trial lawyer in Indiana, she has successfully defended plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal courts. For Stephanie, personal injury, wrongful death, and civil rights cases are all practice areas. She takes the time to get to know each of her clients personally to fully grasp the impact that their injury has had on their lives. To ensure that clients receive the most compensation possible, it's critical to look beyond just the specifics of their injuries and care costs. A trusted advisor and an aggressive advocate are two roles that she sees herself playing in her role in the organization. She aims to understand the full impact of her clients' injuries so that she can express how their lives have been altered by accident. Stephanie frequently lectures on jury selection and trial advocacy on the Trial Advocacy Skills College faculty. As a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association, she has held numerous leadership positions, including Chair of the Litigation Section in 2011 and Vice President of the Board of Directors in 2015. Stephanie is a Distinguished Fellow of the Indianapolis Bar Foundation for her significant contributions to the legal profession and community leadership. She is honored to hold this title. In 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021, Indiana Super Lawyers® named her one of the state's top 50 attorneys and 25 women. Stephanie was named Indiana Defense Lawyer of the Year in 2015 by her peers. Having been raised and educated in Terre Haute, Indiana, Stephanie considers herself a native Hoosier. Before going to law school, she earned a bachelor's degree in political science from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. She is licensed to practice law in Indiana, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts, and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. She has successfully argued numerous appeals. Stephanie spent 17 years as a litigator at the prestigious Indianapolis law firm Lewis Wagner before joining Jason and Stephen's LLP, specializing in high-profile cases involving catastrophic injuries, civil rights violations, discrimination, and wrongful death. Having known Stephen Wagner and Jason Reese for many years, Stephanie joined them in 2017 to devote her practice to representing injured clients and their families. Pushing through the most challenging times of life is the most rewarding part of her job. Personal injury cases are one of Stephanie's favorite types of litigation because each client is different. Depending on the person's occupation, interests, or responsibilities at home, the same injury can affect others. The greatest reward is the appreciation of her clients, who thank her for taking the time to hear them out and comprehend their plight. Stephanie Cassman and her two teenage children live in Zionsville with her husband, an attorney named Ryan Cassman. Her favorite pastimes include spending time with her family; cooking, hiking, and gardening are also favorites of hers.
